We have just had our last gradings for the year and what a year it has been.

The club now has 9 New Yellow Belts and congratulations to all.

On Sunday 17th December 2012 the club had its Christmas break up at the Riddells Creek Hotel. It was a good day and a very pleasent 3 hours.  Everyone who came enjoyed themselves and had a good time.  Some awards where handed out at the party and they are.

I would like to take this time to thank all the mums and dads and students who played a big part in the club in 2011 and the club could not exisit without the support of everyone.

On Sunday the 13th November 2011, 11 students traveled to the Revolution & JB Taekwondo Championships. We came back with a total of 6 Gold, 4 Silver and 6 Bronze. The kids all did really well with Deion, Antony having there very 1st fight.

Poomse.

• Gold: Cooper & Brandi

Sparring.

• Gold: Mariah, William, Zac, Josh
• Silver: Declan, Charlie, Deion
• Bronze: Brandi, Spencer, Antony

This was the last sparring comp for the year.

• Antony and Deion did well for there 1st time. Antony was unlucky being beaten by 1 point in extra time and deion fighting a boy 2 years older than him.
• Zac again beat a Black belt. Zac has beaten only Red and Black belts this year so he deserves a special mention.
• Declan did well and demolished his 1st fight 25 to 0. He is a very strong aggressive fighter now and I and everyone just loves watching him fight.
• Young William unfortunately broke his arm while playing outside after his fight and is now wearing a cast on him arm. We all hope he gets better soon.
• Josh and Charlie had to fight each other and it was a very even fight but Charlie hurt his foot in the 2nd round and could not go on. It was a pity because it would have been a very close fight.

In Poomse

• Cooper went on to win Gold against 5 other boys so this was a very big win for him and just shows what training does for you.
• Brandi won Gold and beat the girl who she came 2nd to in sparring so you can say she got her own back.
• Mariah, Luois, Declan and Josh also did well and kept the flag flying.

I would like to thanks all the parents who came along on the day. Again, we wouldn’t have a club or students in competitions if it wasn’t for them. A big thank you to Emma for bringing us home. Now we look forward in 2 weeks time to the Bev Walker Comp.

On Sumday 23rd October 2011, Master Julius Buria, Master Robert Schembri and Master Russell Wood, held a free Poomse seminar at Master Schembris Club.  It was a very informative day and everyone learnt a lot.  12 Victorian Club’s attended.

I am pleased to say the club now has 4 new 1st Aiders.
